A blog to give a voice to our concern about the continued erosion of our democratic processes not only within the House of Commons and within our electoral system but also throughout our society. Here you will find articles about the current problems within our parliamentary democracy, about actions both good and bad by our elected representatives, about possible solutions, opinions and debate about the state of democracy in Canada, and about our roles/responsibilities as democratic citizens. We invite your thoughtful and polite comments upon our posts and ask those who wish to post longer articles or share ideas on this subject to submit them for inclusion as a guest post.

Name the 'President' (suggestions welcome!)

Recently... the president floated alternative names for AI — pitching “Superior Intelligence,” “Extreme Intelligence” and “Supreme Intelligence.” He then asked his followers to vote on “which is the best name for this ever growing ‘Revolution.'”

Trump called AI technology “the Greatest Economic Development Engine in History,” saying it surpassed oil, gold and diamonds in terms of fostering development.

A Sept. 14 post from the president stated there was no real need for further regulation of AI, going against lawmakers’ calls for guardrails, at least so long as he is at the helm.

“The only control or ‘guardrails’ that AI needs is a STRONG AND SMART (High IQ!) PRESIDENT, and the U.S.A. has that, in spades!” the president wrote.

Perhaps you need to rename your president, may I suggest …

Intelligence Lost, Artificial Leader, Insanity Personified ….. truly hope you (and the rest of the world) survive the next two years with this madman and his minions in charge.
